Bart RoderickChurch Pianist
Bart performs jazz, popular and classical music throughout the Northwest and beyond. He has recorded and performed with a myriad of musical artists including Mick Jagger’s Super Heavy (“Beautiful People”), the Long winters (“Cinnamon”, “New Girl”, “Prom Night At Hater High”. “Hindsight”), Peter Gabriel, Smokey Robinson, Jim Ed Brown, T.Graham Brown. Once he kicked Usher off the piano, but he admits now that this was a mistake. He received his Masters in Music Education from Central Washington University. He is a Washington State National Boards certified teacher. He has taught every kind of public school music class for over 25 years. His continuing mantra to his beloved wife Donna, daughter Elizabeth and granddaughter Juniper is : ”Stick with me, baby. Straight to the top!”
Danene “Danny” KnudsenOrganist
Danny has been teaching piano for over 50 years, most of them in Yakima. Among her hundreds of past students are professional singers, music professors, not to mention other school music teachers. She was the pianist for the Yakima Symphony for 25 years and accompanied the Symphony Chorus for 27 years. In 1993, she performed with the Manhattan Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.
Knudsen has a busy piano studio and accompanies fives choirs in the West Valley School District. She has been a church organist for over 60 years and was a founding member of the Yakima chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Roger FinchChoir Director
Roger was raised in Grandview, WA and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the school of Fine Arts of Miami (Ohio) University. He taught five years in Ohio and five years at Wapato High School. He was a trombonist with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra for 45 years. He became the choir director at ECC in 1972, took at leave between 1990-1999, and returned as choir director in 1999.
