Our Philosophy

Faith is more than what happens on Sunday mornings. Faith is a journey. We gather to learn and worship, to share life together, and join in serving and loving our neighbors. We believe that God has shown us what is required, to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God. (Micah 6:8)

A Little More About Us

As members of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ we don't have creeds or doctrines. We think how we live out our faith is more important than what we believe. There are some important elements of our faith that we affirm.

  • We celebrate Communion or, the Lord's Supper, every Sunday. Communion is open to everyone, all are welcome, this is Jesus' table!
  • We practice baptism by immersion, going completely under the water! Baptism is generally for those who are of an age to understand the basic idea that it means a life of following Jesus.
  • Unity amidst diversity. We value unity and know that doesn't mean uniformity! We try not to make differences of opinion, belief, or other differences matters of division. We value freedom of belief and a reasoned approach to faith.
  • We take the Bible seriously, not literally .
