Join After School Arts and our local museums and arts organizations for Historical
Halloween Trick-or-Treat Walk. Check out creepy exhibits from Yakima’s past, make some Halloween art, play old-fashioned games, and load up on candy at this fun (only slightly haunted) event for the whole family.
Some things you might see...Carriage of the Undead, Live War Horses, Haunted Train,
Eerie Pipe Organ, Day of the Dead Ofrenda and live Catrina and more!
Chat with representatives from: Northern Pacific Railway Museum, Central Washington
Agricultural Museum, After School Arts, McAllister Museum of Aviation, Teiton Arts and
Humanities, Salvation Army and the Washington Civil War Society.
This is a free event.
Is this event wheelchair friendly?
Yes! People of all physical abilities will be warmly welcome and able to access this event.
Is this Halloween event appropriate for young kids?
This trick-or-treat walk is creepy but not scary. There will be something for the whole family. Younger kids will like the fun games and art table while older kids will dig the civil war sabers and actual live horses.
Does Historical Halloween cost money?
No, it’s all free. Come meet our local museum and arts organizations reps, all in the same place, with no entrance fee
How long does it take to walk through?
It takes about 10 minutes to walk through the exhibits but you can linger at the games or art table. You may want to listen to the undead organist playing a two story tall pipe organ. It’s up to you.
