About Our Quarterly Book Study
This group is co-led by retired pastors Rev. David Helseth and Rev. Doyle Hardy and meets on Wednesday mornings at 10 AM in the Fireside room.
This quarter’s study is led by Doyle Hardy, is based on the book, People Skills, by Robert Bolton. Doyle claims this is his favorite book on communication and interpersonal relationships.
Though the book is not religious in title or design, Doyle considers it a “how to” course on practicing spiritual disciplines. By practicing the principles in this remarkable book, he believes individuals and the community of faith will learn what Paul wrote about in Galatians, “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” This is a perfect time in our lives and in our country to listen to and effectively communicate with others.
Anyone is welcome to join at any time.
We are also exploring having a once a month discussion group on the book on Sunday’s during coffee hour. If you would be interested in this alternative meeting time, please reach out to Doyle by email.
