4-13-25 Announcements

Hello Englewood Faith Community,

I hope that everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather this afternoon! We had a powerful service this morning looking at the Palm Sunday narrative from a different lens to challenge our concept and our practice of worship. If you were not able to join us in person or online this morning, you can watch the service back either on our Facebook Page or our YouTube Channel

In our announcements today we shared all of the upcoming events that we have this week for Holy Week. Here is the schedule:

Other Announcements to be aware of:

* Citizenship classes begin again this week at Englewood on Tuesday and Thursday nights. There is a critical need for volunteers who are willing to help teach these classes. If you would be interested in learning more, you can contact La Casa Hogar at info@lacasahogar.org or by calling 509-457-5058.

* This coming Saturday will be our monthly breakfast at 8 AM in the Fellowship Hall. You can RSVP to attend by clicking here.

*
Following breakfast, we will be hosting a workday to complete projects, inside and outside of our building. If you would like to sign up to help that day click here.

* Our Camp Hope meal is this Tuesday night and we are still in need of people to help cook and serve the meal. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to Sue Scott: sue.s.scott@gmail.com

* To promote our Wide Welcome Initiative and our efforts to become more inclusive on Easter, several of our leaders and members have purchased matching shirts on Amazon that share the message "Everyone is Welcome". They will be wearing these shirts on Easter Sunday. If you have a similar shirt that you would like to wear that day, feel free to join us! This is not required in any way but we simply wanted to share the opportunity to elevate our message of welcome and inclusion with everyone.

Joys and Concerns

You can always share your joys and concerns using our connection cards in the back of our pews and dropping them in the offering plate during service OR by clicking here to fill out the online connection card.

Here are the prayer concerns that we are aware of this week to share with everyone:

David Helseth shared an update on Kathy's health during our service today. While they are still waiting on official word back from the Tumor Review Board about Kathy's results, her Primary Care physician is taking steps to prepare as if her tumors were cancerous and will require radiation. They expect treatment to start in early May but are still waiting for official word and the next steps to be determined by Kathy's medical team.

Ronnie Grey has permitted me to share an update on his health with everyone. Over the past week, Ronnie suffered numerous falls in his home. Late in the week, he was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance where he was admitted for treatment of an infection in his spine. He expects to be in the hospital for at least another week and would appreciate everyone's prayers for healing and recovery.

Just a reminder that Dawn is still on vacation through the end of the week, please be sure to check before coming to the building to make sure someone is there during regular office hours.

If you need anything this week, please do not hesitate to reach out.
