1/5/25 Announcements
Today we celebrated Epiphany at Englewood. If you were not able to join us in person, you can watch the recording of today’s service either on YouTube or Facebook. You will want to advance the video to about the five-minute mark to get past the scrolling announcements at the start of the service.
Also, our potluck was amazing today- thank you to all who brought food. 😊
We had our parent’s planning meeting today after service. If you have kids or youth at Englewood, please reach out to Carolyn Hamilton so she can send you the list of 2025 plans and events for your kids and your family!
Our activities kick off this week, and staff is back in the office. Be sure to check out our upcoming events regularly with all the events and new programs starting.
One of those new programs is VolunTeens, a monthly opportunity for middle school and high school students to do a community service project. Our first VolunTeens activity is next Saturday, 1/11, at 10 AM here at Englewood. Teens will help sort the donations that came in our Advent bags.
Next Sunday we will be having a Landscaping Meeting after service in the Fireside room at noon.
Next Sunday is also the Second Concert series at 2 PM.
We will be taking down the Christmas decorations this week on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. If you are able and willing to help, please reach out to Christie.
There will be a listening and learning session about defending against deportation this Saturday in Wapato. If you are interested in attending with Jill and I please let me know. You can learn more about this event by clicking here.
Monday, January 20th is MLK day. There is a march at noon that day there is a sign-up sheet on the welcome desk for anyone who is interested in participating. You can also sign up online by clicking here. We will meet together and walk in this important event to show our support for the work of justice that Dr. King challenged us to. Also, the day before on 1-19 our service that day will be framed around the thoughts and teachings of Dr. King.
Finally- below is a picture of our current Camp Hope meal sign-up sheet. If you would like to have your name added to any of the items for our January meal there, please email us and we can add your name to the list.
