3-30-25 Announcements
Good Afternoon Englewood Christian Church Community,
We enjoyed having Jill Delaney preach and lead in service today as she spoke on the Lectionary text from Joshua 5. If you were not able to be with us in person or during the live stream today, you can watch today's worship service back on our Facebook page or our YouTube channel.
Announcements to be aware of:
As I mentioned in service today, I am including several announcements and links that we did not mention in service due to time constraints so please be sure to pay careful attention to the details below:
1. I shared in service today that we have officially been designated as a Green Chalice congregation by the disciples of Christ for the work that we have done and are doing to be good stewards of the world around us. We will be celebrating this accomplishment and talking about the changes we have made and will be making on Sunday, April 27th which will be our Earth Day worship this year. You can learn more about the Green Chalice program by clicking here.
2. This coming Saturday we will be hosting the NAMI Faith and Trauma workshop all day. This is a free event that will include sessions, breakouts, and lunch panels about religious trauma, crisis training, and the relationship between the mental health community and faith spaces. If you are interested in learning more about this event or registering to attend, click here.
3. Don't forget our ongoing 40 cans in 40 days effort to benefit the Rotary Food Bank. We will be collecting cans through April 17th and all donations can be placed in the boxes in the Narthex.
4. Next Sunday is our 1st Sunday Potluck for April and all are welcome to stay for a time of food and fellowship! Following the lunch, we will have a time of board games for individuals and families that would like to stay and connect in this laid-back way.

Public Joys/Concerns from our Faith Community:
Several people shared joys and concerns today in service via our Contact Cards that they asked be shared today in our Sunday email. Here are those items to be praying over this week:
* "Pray for Will Roulston's daughter Tania Maria who is seeking a true connection with God. She needs to feel fully accepted and deeply loved by her Creator. Tania needs deliverance from thoughts that torment her in this confusing time in life."
* "Pray for Herb's sister's husband Jake Thomas who has cancer."
* "Pray for Jim and Connie Harwood's niece Devlin in Connecticut. She is dealing with multiple issues. Just got out of hospital with a severe medication reaction. She is dealing with a lot of stress because of politics and fear of losing her job @ S.S. after 25 years."
Upcoming Events at Englewood:
