1/26/25 Announcements
Good afternoon everyone,
It was good to gather today for our weekly worship service. If you were not able to join with us in person, you can watch our service today back on our YouTube channel or our Facebook page.
Here are the announcements that we shared today in our service:
After Church we had two events
We held a Congregational Meeting immediately after service with one item to vote on- our budget. It was approved unanimously by our congregation.
Christie held an information session in the Fireside room for anyone that was interested in learning about baptism. If you were not able to join this group today, connect with Christie by email or by calling the church office to start a conversation about baptism.
This afternoon at 4 PM our new Cooperative Youth Group for middle school and high school students will meet for the first time at Wesley United Methodist church for pizza, games, and connections. If you have questions email Christie or call the church office.
Reminder that there is one more chance to see the documentary film 1946 this coming Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Fireside Room.
Next week, is our monthly first Sunday potluck. During that time, anyone who is newer to ECC and would like to learn more about us and have a chance to ask questions and get to know more about our church- I invite you to make a plate and then come join me to eat in the Fireside room.
After the Potluck next week, our young families are having a swimming party at the YMCA. You can sign up at this link online, at the Welcome Desk in the Narthex or email Carolyn.
We had one prayer request that was placed in our basket today that asked to be shared publicly for everyone to be aware of:
This week Carrie Chicken learned from a friend that a young man she has known in Gaza has not been heard from since February 2024. His name is Bashar, and he 26 in November, if he is still alive. My friend said she fears he is dead or in captivity.
If you have a joy or concern that you would like to share with us you can fill out this form online. This form is on the front page of our website and can be used anytime that you want to share a joy, a prayer concern, a question, or start a conversation with our staff.
