3-16-25 Announcements
Sunday afternoon Follow Up
Today, in our weekly worship service at Englewood Christian Church, we discussed what it means to follow Jesus. We explored the story of Jesus and Bartimaeus and sought to reframe this interaction to help us have a new perspective on following. If you were unable to join us in person for this service, you can watch the recordings either on our Facebook page or our YouTube Channel.
Here are the announcements that we shared today during service:
Our Landscaping Task force met today after service. If you are interested in getting involved in this group, please let me know and I can help you connect to the tasks and meetings.
We were honored to host the Second Sunday Concert Series today after service!
This coming Tuesday (3/18) is our monthly Camp Hope meal to prepare and serve. There are still some ingredients and help needed for that outreach this month. If you are interested in being involved this month you can email Sandi Vogel.
This week we will start collecting candy for our Easter Eggs, there will be a donation box in the office where candy can be dropped off. We will use this candy to stuff Easter Eggs for our egg hunt on Easter Sunday after service.
Next Sunday, our Cooperative Youth Group will meet at Englewood at 4:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We will have pizza and games for middle school and high school students who would like to join us!
Also, don’t forget that our 40 Cans in 40 Days food drive for Lent is ongoing. There is a pallet with boxes set up in the Narthex for you to place your cans. All donations will go to the Rotary Food Bank.
David Helseth shared an exciting update today from Cottage Hill Place:
The first resident moved into their new permanent home on Monday, March 10th and as of the 13th- five individuals had moved into Cottage Hill Place!
Out of the $5746.25 that Justice Housing of Yakima raised for Welcome Home kits- $3410.18 of that came from Englewood! That is more than 59%!
Way to love out loud Englewood!
Joys and Concerns Shared this week:
We had no public joys or concerns shared this week via our Connection Cards that were turned into our basket during communion. We did have several private requests turned in that I will be praying over this week and following up with.
If you have joys or concerns to share with our faith community or that you need support with, you can always email or fill out this online form on our website.
